Position Description

The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following International Indigenous Studies Program course during the 2017 Spring Session

  • INDG 312 L01 - Cultural immersion Field Course   
    Monday – Friday, 9:00 - 5:00

Please note: This will be offered as a block week course May 8-12, 2017 and is subject to funding.

Experience of ceremonial and cultural activities, with a focus on four themes: living values; spirituality; health and healing; and roles, responsibilities, and respect.

Applicants should provide a letter specifying the course(s) and session(s) of interest, their qualifications to teach each course, a list of and dates for all courses previously taught at the University of Calgary and any scheduling constraints that would need to be taken into consideration.

Applicants who have taught in the program within the past two years need not provide anything further. Other applicants should include the following with their letter:

  • Current CV
  • Name and contact information for three referees
  • Teaching evaluations, if available

Note: Courses that do not reach enrolment requirements will be cancelled. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
