Annual Stipend: $50,000

Sustainability Studies, Department of Anthropology & Archeology in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop an institutional platform to enable the connection of sustainability research with local and global needs.

Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Fellow will carry out the follow work: an internal environmental scan of past/current UCalgary initiatives to connect research to external needs; an external environmental scan on related programs at other universities; consultation sessions to understand the program attribute needs of external partners and partners within the academy (e.g. Faculty, Deans, International, Industry, Government); development of the model for the platform; mapping timelines, resource requirements and strategies for securing the necessary resources; pilot projects to test the platform and demonstrate tangible results.

Publication of peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals is an expectation of this position.


The successful candidate will have a PhD with related research experience and demonstrated research excellence.
