Position Description
The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (Teaching).
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level and experience in online learning. At this time, we are preferentially seeking candidates with experience and a track record of scholarship and engagement in one or more of the areas of:
• Healthcare innovation
• Healthcare leadership
• Health systems transformation
A Master’s Degree in Nursing is required and a doctoral degree or progress towards a doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred. These positions will teach primarily in the graduate certificate program and other graduate level programs as necessary.

The appointment start is flexible, and can begin between April 1 and July 1, 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. Interested applicants will provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement outlining their scholarship, projects and engagement in the areas listed above, a description of previous university teaching experience and present/aspiring contributions to the areas of healthcare innovation, leadership and health systems transformation.
