Position Description

Area: Wireless Communications—Beyond 5G Network Slicing    

Duration:  One year, with possibility of extension subject to funding

Start Date:  Immediately

Salary:  CDN$60,000 per year

 

The Department of Electrical and Software Engineering in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Beyond 5G Network Slicing.

Job Description:

A post-doctoral fellow to work in a team environment on the research project “Software defined networking-enabled beyond 5G network slicing for smart cities applications”. 

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related fields. 
  • Expertise in 5G technology, network slicing, software defined networking, network functions virtualization, edge/central cloud computing. 
  • Hands-on experience in programming languages—Python, MATLAB, Mathematica. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
