The Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Crypography.

 

Job Description:

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for two Postdoctoral Associate appointments in Cryptography for a period of three years. The sucessful incumbants will work under the supervision of Prof. Rei Safavi-Naini, Prof. Barry Sanders, and Prof. Daniel Oblak. Expertise in cryptography is essential, and knowledge of quantum theory is a strong advantage. The focus of the positions is on quantum-resistant, and quantum-enabled cryptography, and is funded by an NSERC Alliance Quantum Consortia grant entitled: “Accelerating the transition to quantum-resistant cryptography.”


A Ph.D. degree and evidence of excellence in research are required. Successful applicants are expected to maintain an active program of research and participate in research activities with academic and industry partners in the grant. The annual salary is within the range of $55,000 - $65,000 (CAD) depending on the qualifications. The positions are available immediately.
