The Information Technologies is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Senior Network Operations Analyst.

Information Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Operations Analyst to join our Network Services team. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert in Fortinet firewalls and F5 infrastructure, collaborating with internal IT clients and external stakeholders to address and implement technical requirements. There is a high volume of work, in a complex environment, requiring advanced problem-solving skills. The position demands the management of competing interests, working in ambiguity, continuous change, and shifting priorities. Regular skill upgrades and advanced knowledge of departmental processes are essential. Responsibilities include managing project tasks, maintaining documentation, ensuring system maintenance, and adhering to all University IT policies, security protocols, and confidentiality guidelines. Experience with SD-WAN and DNS management is required. Training and cross-training colleagues are essential for your success in this role.

  • Align actions with the organization's strategic direction, ethics, and standards
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Graduate degree in a related field is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations and administration, with a strong focus on Fortinet firewalls and F5 infrastructure
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert (minimum NSE 6 or latest Fortinet certification equivalent)
  • Extensive expertise in configuring and managing Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
  • F5 BIG-IP Certification, or equivalent certifications
  • Verifiable proficiency in administering F5 BIG-IP infrastructure
  • Proficiency in DNS, Linux, scripting/programming, and Wireshark
  • Required: Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with SD-WAN
  • Preferred: 2 years' experience in DNS management
  • Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols
  • CCNA or equivalent network certification required; Solid understanding of networking protocols, routing, and switching
  • Proven record of accomplishment in delivering successful network projects and initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing and change management preferred
  • Leadership skills in training, mentoring, and providing guidance to junior members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills
