Description

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Winter 2025 BTMA 333 LEC 01 (Enterprise Analysis) on Wednesdays 14:00-16:45. Classes in the Winter 2025 semester run from January 13, 2025 to April 11, 2025. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between April 14, 2025 to April 28, 2025, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:
"Focus is on enterprise analysis and high level design of IT-enabled solutions to business problems. Emphasis is placed on problem identification, requirements determination, system development methodologies, modelling the enterprise architecture (business, information, application, and technology), building the IT business case, IT project management, and change management.:

Qualifications

  • PhD or ABD PhD in Business Technology Management or Computer Science/Software Engineering with a focus on data management, or MBA with extensive industry experience in Business Technology Management, or extensive senior position in Business Technology Management (such as serving as partner in Business Technology Management area with major international consulting firm) is required.
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience and demonstrated excellence is required.
  • A demonstrated high level of prior experience with systems analysis and design in the business analytics context is required.
