The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach BMEN 663 - Biosignals and Bioinstrumentation in the Winter 2025 term. This will require some additional preparation work to be completed in December 2024. The course is scheduled to be delivered in-person.
Course Description: Introduction to the electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram, electromyogram, and other diagnostic signals. Overview of computer techniques for processing and analysis of biomedical signals. Case studies from current applications and research.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have an MSc (PhD preferred) in biomedical or electrical engineering with a focus on biomedical instrumentation and biomedical signal processing. Knowledge of and practical experience with acquisition and analysis of human biopotential signals will be a plus. Past teaching experience, preferably in a closely related course or courses will be a plus.
