The Office of General Counsel, People & Culture is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Associate General Counsel (Corporate/Commercial and Privacy).
Reporting to the Associate Vice-President (Legal), the successful candidate will lead a team of lawyers and privacy professionals responsible for delivering effective advice and support to the University in its corporate/commercial transactions (including in procurement, construction, real estate, funding, partnerships and affiliations, intellectual property, and services delivery) and its information and privacy practices (including related to access to information requests, privacy policies and procedures, cybersecurity and information technology, and records management).
University Legal Services provides a full range of legal services and strategic legal advice to senior administration, faculties, schools, and administrative units. This position will also work closely with the Associate General Counsel (Research) and Associate General Counsel (Student Appeals, Litigation, and Policy) to ensure consistency and collaboration across the legal portfolios within University Legal Services.
