Description

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Spring 2025 RMIN 559.02 LEC 01. This course is scheduled to run from May 7 to June 21, 2025.  

RMIN 559.02 LEC 01 (International Insurance Markets)
This course is part of the International Insurance Markets Group Study Program and will run both on-campus sessions and off-campus sessions. 
On-campus: Wednesdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm May 7-June 4, 2025  
International in-field sessions: June 7-June 21, 2025 in Bermuda and London

Course description:
This course examines the workings of global insurance markets including complex commercial insurance programs, reinsurance arrangements, and alternative risk transfer arrangements. Students will be exposed to a wide array of functions and related services in the global insurance market.

Qualifications

  • MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable.
  • Previous post secondary teaching experience is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction face-to-face and online in a post secondary setting. 
  • Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products is an asset.
