The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a full-time academic position in the Business Technology Management area. The successful candidate will be appointed to a tenure-track role at the rank of Assistant Professor (Teaching). The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025, or a mutually agreed upon date.
Position description and associated responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Assistant Professor (Teaching) is teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels as described below. In alignment with the University of Calgary's strategic vision, and in support of its strategic priorities of leadership, teaching and research integration, the successful applicant will actively contribute to teaching and curriculum development. Additionally, the Assistant Professor (Teaching) is expected to engage in scholarly activities and participate in departmental and university service.

The normal teaching load for an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in the Haskayne School of Business is eight courses per academic year (typically four courses per semester).

The Business Technology Management (BTMA) area within the Haskayne School of Business is a thought leader for Canadian business research in quantitative information systems (e.g., Artificial Intelligence) and economics of information systems research (e.g., analytical modeling, game theoretical modeling). The BTMA area has spearheaded collaborative curriculum development in Business Analytics and Data Science across the University of Calgary.
