Position Overview
The Department of Academic Affairs in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a Video Technician. This Casual Hourly position is for approximately 2 months (based on length of funding), with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Manager, DVM Program Operations, this temporary position will support the creation of teaching videos for the DVM Program.
This position will primarily work remotely, using primarily own computer resources and video editing software. However, there may be a requirement to travel to Spyhill Campus as well as various locations in and around Calgary to record various medical procedures. Applicants need to bear in mind that much of the recording and editing will involve detailed and graphic medical investigations (surgery, necropsy, etc.) on anesthetised animals, various animal organs/specimens as well as cadavers and postmortems and may include human tissue.
This position is expected to work approximately full-time (35 hours a week) for the month of August 2020 with the possibility of part-time work for September and October. Considerable degree of flexibility is required.
