The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Immunology.

Job Description:

The postdoctoral scholar will be involved in dissecting immunoregulatory cell networks arising in response to antigen-specific nanomedicines in the context of chronic liver inflammation, with a particular focus on invariant natural killer and mucosal-associated invariant T cells. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists working at the interphase among protein engineering, nanomedicine, in vivo cell re-programming, developmental immunology and chronic inflammatory disease. He/She will have the opportunity to use a variety of functional, phenotypic (e.g. multi-dimensional flow cytometry, mass cytometry), transcriptomic (e.g. scRNAseq) and epigenetic tools (e.g. ChIPseq, multiome) to dissect pharmacodynamic effects of in vivo cell re-programming.

Qualifications:

A PhD in Immunology or related field, or an MD degree with relevant research experience.
