Instructor Position in Finance, Haskayne School of Business

Position Description

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Limited-Term (one-year) position at the rank of Instructor in the Finance Area. The successful candidate will be expected to teach eight half-credit courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Haskayne School of Business. These eight term-long courses will be distributed over the year based on the School’s needs. Becoming engaged with finance competition teams could count towards this teaching load. An interest in service to the University community and in thought leadership and practice-oriented scholarship would be an asset. 

The appointment will commence on July 1st, 2021, or at a mutually acceptable date. 

Candidates must have:

  • a Master’s degree in Finance or a closely-related field, or the CFA designation; 
  • at least three years of verifiable work experience as a finance practitioner;
  • experience in teaching finance or related business disciplines at the post-secondary level.
