Salary: $45,000 CAD to $55,000 CAD per year, plus University of Calgary Plan C Benefits
The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Lithium Ion and Solid State Batteries. The research activities include the synthesis of novel electrode materials and characterizations in the development of next generation of Li-Ion and all solid state batteries.
Job Description:
A position is available at the University of Calgary for a postdoctoral researcher to join an interdisciplinary team developing a novel way to develop and synthesis battery materials and processes. The work will involve in-depth electrochemistry, material science, and electrical analysis.
This project is a part of MITACS Accelerate project. The postdoctoral researcher will be closely collaborating with the company sponsor and will be expected to work from the company up to 50% of the time. In addition, the researcher would mentor other team members.
Qualifications:
To be eligible as a Postdoctoral scholar at the University of Calgary, you must have been awarded a PhD or equivalent within the five (5) years immediately preceding the appointment. Please review the Postdoc Eligibility Guidelines for more information prior to applying for this position.
