Position Description
The Department of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering within the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary has an opening for a Sessional Instructor to teach ENME 680 'Operation and Maintenance' through the Pipeline Engineering Centre (PEC) during the Winter 2022 term.
ENME 680 - Operation and Maintenance
Course description: Automation overview, SCADA systems, station control, instrumentation and metering, custody transfer, nominations process, scheduling and batching multi products. Recommended practices for land usage, ROW patrols, pipeline repair: protocols; repair methods; codes and standards; reference technical papers.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be expected to have earned at least a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and must have a demonstrated background in the subject matter related to the course. The successful candidate must also have very good previous teaching performance or show the potential for very good to excellent teaching ability.
