Position Overview
The Werklund School of Education invites applications for a Research Associate. This Fixed Term Recurring Part-time position is for approximately 6 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
The Research Associate reports directly to the Principal Investigator, Werklund School of Education (WSE). The incumbent will provide independent, and specialized research and analytical support to multiple research projects focused on academic integrity. This may include planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the activities surrounding a research program or project(s), including quality control. Mentorship of research assistants, trainees and graduate/undergraduate students will also be involved, as will assisting and contributing to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at academic conferences.
This position is part of the AUPE Collective Bargaining Unit. Due to the nature of the work, this position may experience occasional irregular workweeks, which will require the ability to be flexible to accommodate the research, special events, interviews, presentations, and any travel that could occur outside the regular workday.
The Research Associate will work with partners and stakeholders in academic integrity and will be part of a research team within the Werklund School of Education, as well as members research teams from partner universities. The research associate will pursue independent and collaborative research activities under the direction of the Principal Investigator and will be expected to support the publishing of the research findings in well-regarded journals in the area of expertise. This position will act as a resource to staff, students, and others, regarding the research in academic integrity.
