Position Description
Applications are invited for a Sessional Instructor position in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from January 17, 2022-April 15, 2022 in Poultry Pathology. All teaching is clinical in the area of diagnostic poultry pathology. The amount of teaching depends on the availability of the sessional instructor and their experience, as well as the needs of the DVM program.
Qualifications include a DVM degree (or equivalent), with appropriate advanced training in the designated area. Appropriate advanced training includes residency training in avian medicine, ACPV board certification or eligibility, and diagnostic poultry pathology experience including histopathology and may additionally include an advanced degree. The applicant must also be licensed or immediately eligible for licensure with the ABVMA.
UCVM's DVM program combines a comprehensive general veterinary education with enhanced opportunities in selected areas. The integrated core-elective curriculum combines discipline-based courses with extensive on-campus and off¬ campus practical learning. UCVM uses a distributed veterinary learning community including public and private practice partners to deliver its fourth-year practicum program.
