Position Description

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources (OBHR) in the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with preference towards applicants with a research focus on leadership and/or “healthy work” (e.g., mental health/psychological well-being at work, workplace mistreatment, work safety). The appointment start date is July 1, 2022 with the option to negotiate a January 1, 2023 start date.

Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and professional service for the School, the University, and the community. Salary is competitive and will depend on qualifications, experience, as well as research and teaching record.

Applicants must possess a doctoral degree, or expected completion by September 2022, in OBHR or a related field. They will provide evidence of excellence in scholarship, as demonstrated by publications and/or papers under revision in FT-50 journals. They will also demonstrate the desire and potential to be a teacher in a professional faculty, as demonstrated by teaching evaluations and references. 

Faculty in the OBHR area at the Haskayne School of Business are engaged in a range of research topics, including decision-making, diversity, emotions, mental health, motivation, leadership, strategic HR, workplace mistreatment, and workplace safety.
